Have you ever wonder that does my anti-virus is working or not? Now you can check it with short trick. You just need to make new file with virus and check if it is working or not.
Here is step to find out:
1. Open Notepad.
2. Copy below code and paste in it without quote.
"X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*"
3. Save it name like virus.exe
4. Wait until it got deleted. If does then anti virus is working and not then doesn’t.

Hey nandu i use microsoft security essentials and it didn’t deleted it.also i scanned that file with microsoft security eseentials and still nothing happens…what does this mean?
It should delete it. I am using Mcafee. As soon as I save file with virus.exe, Mcafee delete it. I updated my post with demo image. Check out.

Then There must be something wrong with Microsoft essential. I tried and worked means it does detect virus. Try other anti virus, if you have any.
