In my previous post, I gave tutorial on how to install wordpress and now I will let you write on how to change theme in wordpress.
If you are using newest version of wordpress, then you have option to install directly. You can see in below image to install in newest version.
Click on “Add New Themes” in appearance column.
Then you will see page similar to below.
Click on image, if you can see it.
Choose option according to your choice. Then click on Find Theme. After that click on preview, so you will know, how does it looks like.
If, you like any theme, click on install. After that activate that theme. You are done.
Now, if you liked theme other than wordpress theme list, then you need to follow different steps. Here it is.
First you need to download theme and remeber that path. Then login to your cpanel and click on file manager. After that, go to public_html/wp-content/themes/
If you have installed blog same where like http://yourdomain.com/blog then you need to follow this path. Public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/.
Click on upload button and upload you theme. then click on extract button. Please refer to my image to understand this two step.
Go back to your blog admin page. You can click on “Themes” in appearance column. You will see your installed them over there. Click on that theme you will see a preview of that theme. If you want to activate that theme, you will see a link at right hand side top corner. click on it and your theme is active. I hope that you understand it.
